Stopover of the Navy Ship “Francesco Morosini” in Thailand – Public Visit (May 18, 15.00-18.00)

The Italian Navy patrol vessel “Francesco Morosini” will dock at Sattahip Port (Chonburi) from May 16 to May 19, 2023, as part of its ongoing Indo-Pacific and Far East campaign.

The Italian and local public will have the opportunity to visit Italy’s youngest naval unit, flagship of the Italian Navy, on Thursday, May 18, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Chuksamed pier).

If you are interested in visiting the vessel, please send an email to by noon on Wednesday, May 17, indicating your full name and details of an identity document (which must be shown to access to the Sattahip dock).

The “Francesco Morosini” is the second of seven multi-purpose offshore patrol vessels (light version) – built entirely in Italy, at Fincantieri’s Riva Trigoso and Muggiano shipyards – that are part of the Navy’s plan to renew the operational lines of naval units. It is a ship with high operational flexibility, designed to carry out both military and civil defense tasks, thanks to its dual capabilities.
