DOLCE VITA: ITALIAN CINEMA AND CULTURE

In the framework of the celebrations of the 76th Day of the Italian Republic in Thailand, the Embassy of Italy, in collaboration with National Museum of Cinema of Turin and the Thai Film Archive, is pleased to announce the opening of the event DOLCE VITA. ITALIAN CINEMA AND CULTURE on May 27th 2022 at 6pm at the Thai Film Archive, Salaya, Nakhonpathom.

The initiative consists of an exhibition on Italian cinema with videos, photographs and posters, including experiments in virtual reality, and of the screening of Italian movies.

The exhibition “DOLCE VITA: ITALIAN CINEMA AND CULTURE”, at the 3rd floor exhibition room at Thai Film Archive in Salaya, will be accessible for free from May 27 to August 28, 2022.

“DOLCE VITA: ITALIAN CINEMA AND CULTURE” consists also of the screening of 4 Italian films: (mEnnio, on May 27; La strada on June 5; Accattone on June 12; and Fire at Sea on June 19.

The event is also supported by Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Cineteca Nazionale di Roma, Istituto Luce – Cinecittà di Roma, Cineteca di Bologna and Rai Cinema.

From the colossal of silent cinema Cabiria to VR experiments, from Sophia Loren to Fellini, videos, photographs and posters, the exhibition is in invitation to enter the cradle of the Dolce Vita, supported by the Italian Embassy in Bangkok and realized by the National Museum of Cinema of Turin and the Thai Film Archive of Bangkok in synergy with the major Italian cinema institutions: Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Cineteca Nazionale di Roma, Istituto Luce – Cinecittà di Roma, Cineteca di Bologna and Rai Cinema.
