On March 14, 2024, the eighth edition of the Italian Design Day (IDD) is celebrated around the world, with the theme “Manufacturing value – inclusiveness, innovation and sustainability”, which reflects the commitment to promoting sustainability in design, focusing on innovations that reconcile aesthetics with the need to eliminate negative impacts on the environment.
The Embassy of Italy and the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) in Bangkok organized the “Italian Design Days” from the 12th to the 18th of March. During a week, several events will take place in the Thai capital in the showrooms of Italian design products, where the public will have the opportunity to appreciate the best of Made in Italy.
The main event will take place from the 12th to the 18th of March at EmSphere (Gallery 2, 2nd floor), where the “100 Italian Vases” exhibition will be exhibited, together with a series of iconic products of Italian design ranging from cars to furniture, to lighting, home furnishings and lifestyle accessories. The exhibition can be visited every day from 10.00 to 22.00, free to of charge.
In the following days, there will be different events at Lamptitude, Lamborghini, EuroCreations, Seasons, and Scintilla Gioielli showrooms, which will involve several iconic Italian brands.
The Italian Design Days draw inspiration from the “FuoriSalone”, a series of events organized during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the leading international event for the design industry, which this year will take place from the 16th to the 21st of April in Rho Fiera, Milan.
