The Call for awards and grants for the promotion of Italian editorial and cinematographic works abroad through the translation into foreign languages of literary and scientific works (including on digital media) and for the production, dubbing and sub-titling of short films, feature films and TV series has been published.
Type of incentives
Publishers, translators, production/distribution/doubling/sub-titling companies, cultural institutions, agents and literary agencies can apply for two types of incentives:
1) Grants:
– Incentive for foreign language translation and dissemination by publication (including in e-book format) of Italian literary and scientific works, the publication of which is planned after August 1, 2024;
– incentive for the production, dubbing or sub-titling in foreign languages of short films, feature films, and television series to be made after August 1, 2024.
2) Awards:
– Prize for the translation of Italian works (including in e-book format) – including short films, feature films and television series intended for the mass media
– that have been disseminated, translated, produced, dubbed, subtitled on a date not before January 1, 2024.

Applications must be submitted using the attached form (click here), in Italian or English, and emailed to the Embassy: ufficioculturale.bangkok@esteri.it by April 24, 2024.
