The Embassy of Italy in Bangkok , together with United Nations – Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights is honoured to present the exhibition “FEDERICO FELLINI – GENIUS OF HUMANITY A TRIBUTE TO HUMAN RIGHTS” by the Fellini Foundation (Sion, Switzerland).
Premiered at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on the occasion of the election of Italy to the United Nations Human Rights Council (January 2019), the edition in Bangkok commemorates Human Rights Day, which is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
The visitors will follow a path through the imaginary of a genius who always had found inspiration in the colorful whirl of the human being and will be inspired to reflect about the importance of human values at the heart of the artistic process. The exhibition, composed by a total of 50 visual elements consisting of photos from Fellini’s movies, original posters and quotes, will take place at BACC (Bangkok Art and Culture Centre), curved wall, 3rd floor, from 1 to 13 December 2020. Free Entry
The opening event, by invitation only, on 2nd December / 17,30 at BACC Auditorium will host the performance by Jobel Group “Across the road”, inspired by the film “La strada”, and the screening of “Long journey”, a full animated movie written by the poet and Fellini’s screenwriter Tonino Guerra.
