The eighth meeting of the Thai-Italian Business Forum took place in Chiang Mai on 12-13 January. The group, established in 2015 and which did not meet in presence since 2019, brings together entrepreneurs and managers of important groups and companies from the two countries. The meeting was an opportunity of networking and discussion to identify new business opportunities in both directions, as well as to take stock of the state of economic relations and bilateral trade.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini, connected online, who expressed appreciation for the role played by the Business Forum in promoting friendship and entrepreneurial relations between the two Countries. The Deputy Minister ensured that the Italian Government intends to promote the strengthening of economic and political relations with Thailand, also starting from the positive trend recorded in recent months by bilateral trade.
The Business Forum is co-chaired by Carlo Pesenti, Chairman of Italmobiliare, from the Italian side, and by Busaiba Chirathivat, Director of Central Group, from the Thai side. The following Italian companies participated in the meeting: Italmobiliare, Cavagna Group, CNH Industrial, Danieli, Ferrero, Iveco, Intesa Sanpaolo, Leonardo, Pirelli, Vittoria, SACE, Invitalia (online), Saipem, Ducati, CIS. The Thai participants were: Central Group, Bangkok Bank, Betagro Group, Global Power Synergy (GPSC), PTT, Inoue Rubber, Merchant Partners, SCG Logistics, Singha Corporation, Thai Airways, Thai Summit Autoparts, Thaivivat Insurance and Board of Trade, Alma Food School, Graphene Creations.
