data-end=\"470\">The renewal of Italian driving licenses may be carried out <strong data-start=\"423\" data-end=\"438\">exclusively<\/strong> for Italian citizens who are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"471\" data-end=\"735\">\n<li data-start=\"471\" data-end=\"588\">\n<p data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"588\">duly <strong data-start=\"478\" data-end=\"502\">registered with AIRE<\/strong> (Registry of Italians Residing Abroad) and resident in Thailand, Cambodia, or Laos;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"735\">\n<p data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"735\">holders of a driving license that is <strong data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"645\">due to expire<\/strong> (within four months of the expiry date) or has <strong data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"732\">expired for no more than five data-start=\"2928\" data-end=\"2944\">consular fee<\/strong> is applicable for this service.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 data-start=\"2985\" data-end=\"3026\"><strong data-start=\"2990\" data-end=\"3026\">2. OBTAINING A THAI DRIVING LICENSE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3028\" data-end=\"3223\">To apply for a Thai driving license, Italian citizens must first have their Italian license <strong data-start=\"3120\" data-end=\"3155\">translated into English or Thai<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"3156\" data-end=\"3159\" \/>(See <strong data-start=\"3164\" data-end=\"3174\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambbangkok.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Agenzie-traduzione-2025.pdf\">here <\/a><\/strong>for a list of translation agencies.)<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3225\" data-end=\"3360\">After obtaining the translation, applicants shall <strong data-start=\"3275\" data-end=\"3298\">book an appointment<\/strong> through <em data-start=\"3307\" data-end=\"3318\">Prenot@mi<\/em> and appear at the Consular Office with:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3361\" data-end=\"3437\">\n<li data-start=\"3361\" data-end=\"3402\">\n<p data-start=\"3363\" data-end=\"3402\">the original Italian driving license;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3403\" data-end=\"3437\">\n<p data-start=\"3405\" data-end=\"3437\">the corresponding translation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3439\" data-end=\"3630\">The Consular Office will verify and certify the <strong data-start=\"3487\" data-end=\"3520\">conformity of the translation<\/strong>.
