Travel Documents (ETD)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"184\"><strong data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"184\">In the Event of Theft\/Loss or Expiry of a Passport in Thailand<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"186\" data-end=\"702\">Italian nationals who have lost their passport or whose passport has been stolen, as well as those holding an expired or expiring passport, or a damaged passport, and who urgently need to travel, are required to go to the Consular Office, as a rule at least <strong data-start=\"444\" data-end=\"475\">3\u20134 days prior to departure<\/strong>, without an appointment (provided they attend during public opening hours), in order to apply for the issuance of an <strong data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"628\">ETD (Emergency Travel Document)<\/strong> for the purpose of returning to Italy (or to their country of residence).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"704\" data-end=\"826\">Applicants must present themselves with the following documents \u2014 <strong data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"799\">originals and photocopies<\/strong>, already prepared\/printed:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"1250\">\n<li data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"889\">\n<p data-start=\"830\" data-end=\"889\">Completed <strong data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"864\">ETD application form<\/strong> (see the Forms section);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"890\" data-end=\"1013\">\n<p data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"1013\"><strong data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"939\">Two recent colour passport-size photographs<\/strong>, with a white background and compliant with international ICAO standards;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1098\">\n<p data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1098\"><strong data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1033\">Police report<\/strong> issued by the local police authorities in case of theft or loss;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1099\" data-end=\"1174\">\n<p data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1174\"><strong data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1115\">Air ticket<\/strong> for return travel to Italy or to the country of residence;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1250\">\n<p data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1250\"><strong data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1235\">Photocopy of the passport or another identity document<\/strong>, if available.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1698\">Although no formal appointment is required, in view of the high number of requests\u2014particularly during peak travel periods\u2014applicants are kindly requested, where possible and for office requirements, to notify the Consular Office of their visit <strong data-start=\"1497\" data-end=\"1542\">approximately 3\u20134 working days in advance<\/strong> by sending an email to <strong data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1597\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1568\" data-end=\"1595\">consolare.bangkok@esteri.it<\/a><\/strong>, attaching in advance a scanned copy of the lost\/damaged passport and the above-mentioned documents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1833\">Please note that the Embassy does <strong data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1741\">not<\/strong> provide service outside normal office hours or on public holidays for the issuance of
